RULES OF COURT, FORMS, & FEES
Ontario’s courts are governed by procedural codes which bind everyone from lawyers, to judges, to court staff. The different courts (Family, Civil, and Criminal) all have their own sets of rules.
To have success in your case, it is essential to understand and abide by the relevant court procedures and rules. This is in addition to having a thorough understanding of the law and how it applies to the unique facts of your situation.
Specific forms are prescribed for almost every step in a court case, and fees are payable as a pre-condition for taking some of those steps.
